Weir-Intake Structure: Designed to divert certain amount of water from the natural flow of a river or stream towards the hydroelectric facility.

Desander: Before water enters further into the system, desander removes debris such as silt, gravel, and larger particles. This helps protect downstream components and ensures efficient operation.

Conveyance Line: Pipeline or channel that transport water from the desander to a surge tank.

Surge Tank: Act as a reservoir to absorb fluctuations in water flow and pressure. It helps stabilize the flow of water to the turbines, ensuring consistent and reliable power generation.

Penstock: Pipeline that delivers high-pressure water from the surge tank to the turbines. The pressure of the water as it descends from the penstocks drives the turbines, which in turn generate electricity.

Powerhouse: Houses the turbines and generators. The high-pressure water from the penstocks spins the turbines, which are connected to generators that produce electricity through electromagnetic induction.
